A Quick Guide To Music Festival Makeup

Festival season is here! With events like SXSW, Coachella, and much other like events, you may want to stand out and amp up your look. But how do you best plan for when the weather can change on a dime and your makeup might melt off after hours in the sun? 

The key is to be simple yet bold (a philosophy all in its own.) Maybe try a brightly hued eyeliner, like an electric blue or hot pink, and get a little geometric with the shape. Just be prepared for smudging later on in the day, but don't fret! Embrace the eventual decay of your eye makeup instead of trying to stop it before it happens. Organic is the way to be. Add a couple stick on gems a-la 90"s Gwen Stefani for a bedazzled look. 

Highlighting is another big trend this year, if you're not super into the tribal-y look.Take a shimmery powder and keep the focus on the highest points of your face; top of the cheekbones, brown bone, tip of the nose, cupids bow. Add a little to the inner corners of your eyes if you'd like. Remember, skin and lips are completely bare. Keep it breathable, people. And don't forget the SPF. Throw your hair up in a done yet undone looking braid, add a flower crown or another accessory, and there you have it. 

The main thing with any look is pure creativity. If you think it's weird, people are going to like it. It's a festival, something eccentric is basically required.

How To Make Facial Oils Work For You

Facial oils have become all the rage in the world of skin care. I know what you're all thinking, "my face is already oily," "that would clog my pores," " i don't want to look shiny." While you may notice some of these things if you're using heavier, greasier oils on your face, the truth is refined oils are wonderful for your complexion. 

Many people are under the assumption that oils are too thick and wouldn't penetrate the skin, and would leave the complexion greasy. Little do you know that good oil is the best thing you can put to your skin! Besides, a fresh, dewy, not greasy, complexion can create a youthful look and is great with spring on its way! 

Pure oils absorb deeper into your skin because of the finer blend of ingredients. When your skin begins to dry out, usually between your 30's and 40's, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't add a pure essential oil to your skin routine. It's best to use an oil when the skin is still moist, like after a shower or bath. The rule of thumb for choosing an oil is looking at the first five ingredients and always make sure the essential oil is at the beginning of the list. If an oil like avocado, almond, or another carrier oil is at the beginning, the blend is likely to be greasier or heavier. Opt for sage or geranium essential oils, for those with larger pores, and choose citrus, peppermint and rosemary oils for those with acne. Also, jojoba oil is thought to be the closest to the skin's sebum and therefore is considered the best carrier oil for all skin types. Apricot kernel oil is great for those with dry, prematurely aged or sensitive skin being that it's high in fatty acids.

Guide To Crystal Elixirs

Morning! I want to introduce to you a new product here at EmbellishU, crystal elixirs! We all know the benefits to your well-being crystals can provide. A crystal elixir, essentially is a water based essence containing crystal energy. Water absorbs the crystals energy pattern, potentializes it, and stores it. How To Harness and Invoke Lunar Energies This Full Moon

Hi all! I'm feeling especially inspired by this full moon we have in Virgo tonight so I wanted to share with you some rituals to use this energy to your fullest potential! Full moons are all about release and letting go. This is an incredibly potent window of opportunity to change, remove, release, shift whatever in your field is not in highest alignment with your being and you have the entire universe by your side, immensely supporting you and blessing you as you choose higher. Allow these energies to cleanse your being and fully serve your soul, and release what doesn't nourish your heart. 

Start off with setting your intention. Manifestation is so instant and holding on to attachments of less than will constantly block your field from greater blessings. Grab a notebook or journal and write down everything you want to get rid of. Light some candles and burn some sage if you have, that will aid in grounding yourself and take away any negative energy. When you're done with your list, take at least three deep breaths and move your consciousness into your heart. Place your full intent on release and burn your piece of paper and imagine those things being purged from your life. It is also good to take any crystals you have and let the moon light charge and cleanse them so they can serve you better. 

I encourage you to please review your life today and see what is no longer serving you and what is no longer in harmony or balance. This specifically has to do with all relationships both in your outer world: with partner, job, location and with self. Know how serious the universe is about you letting go what isn't in balance and what isn't nourishing your soul. 

If you don't like who you are, where you are, what you are doing, who you're with...Change it now! You must participate relentlessly in the co creation of your future! No one else has the power to do this for you.

Attract some love into your life this Valentine's Day

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I wanted to share some ideas on manifesting love and the law of attraction. The secret of manifestation is that you do not create reality by what you think but by what you feel. Everything is a vibration and you attract those things that you are in vibrational resonance with. Your vibration is your feeling. The more you experience the feeling of having what you want, the more you will have it. You have the power to create anything your heart desires! If there is anything you want to create more of, focus upon it. Whatever you turn your attention to, you will create. What we give out, we get back. 

Imagine what your life would be like if your mind could always be focused on thoughts that were filled with joy, peace, love, abundance and feeling successful! Whenever you feel good, you are in vibrational harmony with your desires.

Along with just your thoughts, there are a few things you can practice to draw love into your life. Using select essential oils in your visualization and meditation practice create the ambience of magic. You could use rose essence, being that roses are the symbol of love. Jasmine, Ginger, Lavender, Ylang-Ylang, and Vanilla are great as well. Apply a bit of the oil under your nose, or on a tissue, and inhale while visualizing yourself as a beautiful, confident person, attracting the perfect love into your life. 

You could also create an altar in the relationship corner of your home. According to Feng Shui, the far right corner of your bedroom is considered the relationship area. Your altar can include fresh flowers, pink or red candles, romantic photographs, or statues that represent to you the image of love and family. Adding crystals is another great way to manifest your desires. Crystals are natural transmitters of energy. Rose quartz offers unconditional love and infinite peace and protection. It's the perfect choice for strengthening self love and forgiveness, and is also the crystal for manifesting and attracting true love. Malachite works to clear away painful heartache and make way for new love. Green Aventurine is known as the stone of love and luck. Carrying this stone with you will increase your confidence and luck at attracting new love in your life.

The benefits of Glycerin and battling crepe skin

Dry skin is a common issue for many of us. It can be even more prevalent during these winter months. Between freezing temperatures, wind, lack of vitamin D, and other conditions, it can be tough to find relief. A common ingredient that can be used for multiple skin ailments is glycerin. Glycerin can be used to make cleanser, toner, moisturizer, treats acne, blackheads, dry skin, wrinkles, and various other conditions. Since glycerin is a humectant, meaning that it draws water into the skin, it is very beneficial for dry skin. It is also an emollient, which form an oily layer on the skin to trap water in the skin. These types of ingredients decrease itching and flaking, thus protecting the skin.

For some people, it manifests itself in deep lines and facial wrinkles. With age, skin will feel drier because the body will stop producing as many new skin cells. To improve crepe skin, it is important to help the body naturally replace the supplies of collagen and elastin. Peptide creams or hyaluronic acid creams can help to stimulate the production of these proteins by making the cells reproduce more quickly. Microdermabrasion is also a great treatment to help aging skin. It works by scrubbing the upper layer of skin causing the skin to generate a new, healthier layer of cells. It is especially effective with crepey skin because the wrinkles are more prominent on the upper layers of skin.

Get Your Glo On!

Skin brightening has become a more targeted subject in the field of dermatology. Both estheticians and their clients have been searching for ways to reduce melanin production in the skin. Some of the most common conditions of hyper pigmentation are age spots, melasma, freckles and acne scars. Now that we know more about skin pigmentation and how the skin makes melanin, we can more effectively utilize certain ingredients. Much of the research in the field focuses on tyrosinase, an enzyme that spurs melanin production from tyrosine through oxidation. In the pathway, tyrosinase is produced by the melanocyte (the skin cell responsible for pigmentation) and is responsible for several reactions. You can limit melanin by limiting tyrosinase anywhere along its pathway.

There are some brightening agents that I am very excited about! There are marine active ingredients, that work on signaling proteins in the skin for melanin production and DNA repair. Although algae has been used for many years in skin brightening formulations, its being brought to a peptide level to help more with melanin inhibition. The use of botanical extract ingredients is a method I strongly suggest. They are gentler to the skin and our body automatically knows how to process them. One argument about botanical ingredients is whether they are as effective as their chemical counterparts. Traditionally, treating hyper pigmentation chemically has been done by bleaching the skin with either hydroquinone or kojic acid. While these ingredients are fast acting and effective, if you were to stop using the product at any point in time, it could actually make hyper pigmentation worse. This is because they can be cytotoxic to melanocytes in large amounts. Because of this, skin may respond to these chemicals negatively, resulting in production of more melanin. One of the best benefits of using plant extract and peptide-based products is that there’s little to no chance of doing serious harm to the skin.

I always recommend doing your research and finding a company that uses high quality botanicals and is well-versed on how to handle them during formulation. The effectiveness of these products depend on the knowledge of the developer, especially when it comes to which part of the plant to use. For the best results in treating hyper pigmentation, look for products that work at multiple points during the production of melanin. Since there are so many ways to treat hyper pigmentation, it is better to utilize different methods so that they can work cooperatively for an overall better effect. Want to know what changed my life and was able to give me opportunity to be my own boss?

Life can throw some hard balls at you, I think we can all agree on that. Sometimes you need an angel to come down and help you and that's exactly what happened for me and my story.  

I was in a dead end job going no where made $300 a week, rent was $1000. I had to buy food, utilities, cell phone, and that does not cover the cost of clothes to look professional. My car was a total hazard. I was told it was a death trap.

Then he chuckled. I did not know what to do, what did this all mean, how much longer could I play before it became greed? Do you think I can do this more often? My mind was racing. So that night I walked away with a good amount of money. I put myself through eyelash school that was my first investment, the basic and advanced, purchased the kit (ours were not included), bought a massage table, and a computer. This man changed my life. So thank you whoever that man is out there I am eternally grateful. 

Doing eyelashes raised the bar for me, as you will learn in my class. There are so many techniques, and I have been to 4 schools none like my first school. She was the best. I have picked up so many tips, and tricks that have made it a lot easier too. It takes hard work and dedication but it's worth it in the end. When you see how happy your clients are and you get compensated accordingly. Not just anyone can do this or teach it. It takes patience. Take a step in a new direction and add this to your repertoire.  I want to be the one to change your life so you can provide for your family or make a better life for yourself..

Summer Bliss Ball

Happy Summer! Always on the go and no time to stop for a healthy snack? Well, I have you covered.  Bliss balls are a perfect snack that's raw, gluten free and vegan.  Make them in a large batch so you'll always be prepared for the week.  The ingredients aren't just healthy but specifically almond butter promotes flawless skin! Almond butter contains Vitamin E, which is key in healthy skin. 

Ingredients (Try to use all organic if possible):

• 20 Dates
• 1 cup of Almond Butter
• 4 tablespoons of chia
• 3-4 tablespoons of cacao 
• 2 tablespoons of vanilla

Step 1:

Blend dates till broken into small pieces 

Step 2: 

Add 1 cup of almond butter & blend

Step 3:

Add cacao, chia & vanilla. Blend and then Roll into small bite size balls!!

Step 4: 

Enjoy!!

These are the best treats, and so healthy, keep your skin glowing, and keep you toned at the same time. Great treat when you want something sweet but don't want junk food!!

The perfect Summer Makeup!!

So if you don't know I have been on this quest to find the best beauty products I possibly can for my business. I have tried so many and basically got either no result or it wasn't enough!! I want more... From serums, to toners, creams, peels, and makeup! 

Well I have found my 3 lines that I am totally loving!! I'm sure I'll cherry pick from one or two more eventually. So I found this product when I was walking at the esthetic show with one of my associates and she led me to this company names BSB (Bella Schneider Beauty). They have some amazing ingredients they stay cutting edge with their technology to give your skin the best result. To name a few Kojic acid, rose, and seabuckthorn oil. Seabuckthorn oil is very high in vitamin A and E which are essential for young skin, and helps restore skin after aging has already affected it. Destroy free radicals and stay looking great!! I'm in sign me up!! This is also good for eczema patients as well. 

Kojic acid is completely natural and is a skin lightener. It stops the production of melanin in your skin.  Melanin is the substance that gives your skin color. The darker you are the more you have. Kojic acid has longer shelf life even tho it is natural, pretty cool right? It actually resists oxidation and spoilage... So your product won't go bad!! The other commen skin lightener that doctors recommend is Hydroquinone which causes incredibly dry skin, rashes, even contact dermatitis! Short lived reaction but No Thank you!! Kojic acid is the new technology! Out with the old in with the new.  

Ok so on to my favorite foundation, I typically use Glo minerals tinted moisturizer that has and 30 SPF. I love it... My skin has changed since using the Glo mineral line. If I am going to put makeup on my face I want dual action! I want it to be working at making my skin look pretty also firming, giving me vital anti aging Vitamins while I wear it!!! All my products I am selling on my online Boutique for purchase. Or you can also join me in a Mommy makeover or just a girls night out! I will demonstrate how to take care of your skin and teach you how to do an everyday makeup look!! So I have this BB cream that has a little more coverage then a tinted moisturizer but it's healthy for your skin! There has been a craze about BB cream but I could not find one that is healthy for my skin. Until now! This Premier beauty balm does it all : Amino Acids, proline and palm oil boost penetration of ingredients smooth away visible wrinkles. Moisturizing oils hydrate and soften fine lines, enhance skin glow while advance concealing formula and light tint natural all over coverage for discoloration even for under eyes. Vitamin E eliminates damaging free radicals, supports broad spectrum uv protection!! Gentle enough to use post peel or procedures too!! This is a beauty must have!! This BB cream is a must!! Easy to carry! Def a staple to have:)) Tune in later this week I will be going over illuminators, and how you can use them..
