Narrow Down Your Beauty Routine

In this day and age, there are so many different beauty products out there. From creams to lotions and serums and every form of foundation under the sun, it can be all a little overwhelming. Here I want to list the bare essentials that can get you through your morning routine while still looking young, fresh and glowing.  

• Coconut oil - the miracle worker. Use it as a moisturizer, hair mask, a head to toe salve, even a teeth whitener. Make sure it's refined though  
• Essential oils - these you may have a few of, but for different purposes. Tea tree for blemishes, lavender for anxiety, peppermint for energy or skin refresher, just to name a few. You can even make your own scents  
• BB Cream - evens out your skin tone and masks imperfections while still being lightweight, what more could you want  
• Powder palette, one of those with a highlighter, blush, bronzer and a skin tone. You could even use some of the shades for your eyeshadow  
• Eyeliner - in whatever form of your liking, liquid, pencil, gel etc  
• Mascara - lashes frame your eyes and make them standout more
• Lipstick/gloss/liner - find your signature shade of lipstick, a nuetral liner, and a light gloss. Perfect  
• Dry shampoo - make your blowout last a little extra while giving your hair some volume  

While these are just essentials, you might add a few items you love here and there, for a special occasion or whatever it may be. Or even if you just feel like treating yourself to a new lipstick. Hopefully this list will have you try something new, maybe you'll even find your new favorite product.

Let's talk a little about some fashion tips. Individual style is very important especially for us women. It allows us to be creative and express who we are as a person. I've curated a list of some essentials that everyone should have in their closet that you can mix and match with your own unique pieces for the perfect look. 

Great easy coats to wear and super cute! 

Black and brown belts fun detailed work too. For that sexy but edgy look. 

• the ever popular, LBD (little black dress) if you ever have somewhere important to go, you can't go wrong with one of these. 
• black pumps, what better to go with your LBD than some cute little heels. Here you can have some fun and go with a patent leather, or maybe a classic pointy toe, the choice is yours. 
• black skirt, if you're not one to choose a dress as a first pick, a skirt can do just as well, a nice mid length looks good on everyone 
• white collared shirt, this you can dress up with your skirt, or even a nice pair of slacks, or you can totally dress it down and pair it with some distressed jeans
• black/brown belt, for those outfits that are just missing a little something 
• structured blazer, another item that you can dress up or down, a black or navy goes well with mostly everything, or you can have some fun with it and choose a statement color to go with a black outfit for a pop of color 
• dress jeans, in a black or gray, still office appropriate but still comfy 
• button down cardigan, a neutral color is best so you can wear it with anything, you can choose or more fitted style or opt for a long loose style for a different type of look
• rain coat or denim jacket, for when you need something lightweight, but still want to look chic and put together at the same time, yet still practical 

Love the tailored flare pant, very slimming. Also a good pair of boyfriend jeans, you dress up or down!

A Little Tuesday Pick Me Up

Be on Purpose! Turn every negative into a positive::)) we have gifts from God all day. You just have to see them.  

Hi all (: Today I want to spread some positivity and inspiration to all of you. This is for anyone who may feel stuck, or any type of negativity whatsoever. We've all been there, and it's easy to feel like you're the only one who's ever felt the way you do. Know that you are not alone!! For every emotion or feeling you've ever felt, there's so many other people who have felt the same or similar without you even knowing it. A lot of people don't speak about what their internally feeling for the fear of being misunderstood.

What I want to instill in everyone going through any kind of hardship right now is that you have the power to change it. Yes, you! You are the first, and only person that can help yourself. It's easy to get into a negative cycle and think that there's nothing you can do to make your situation lighter, but the longer you think that way, the longer things will stay the same. Be the change you wish to see. Your mind is your most powerful organ in your body. It's a lot stronger than you may think. Everyone has the ability to attract what they want in life through positive thinking. You know the saying, "a negative mind will never lead to a positive life." It sounds corny, but it's true. What you put out into this world is what you attract. In religion we call it spirits, in science we call it energy, in the streets we call it vibes. However you look at it, those energies you give out will come back to you. Don't get me wrong, nobody's perfect, and everyone can get down every once in a while, but taking those negative circumstances and letting it fuel you to make it a positive instead of letting them bring you down is your key to having a better outlook. It's not about what's going on around you, but how you choose to look at it. Perspective, my friends. 

I would like everybody starting today to pick out all the good things about your day, even the tiniest, most insignificant things. Make it a daily practice, and watch how your mind set changes. You can thank me later (;

The Latest In Lip Enhancers

So this is a subject I've been wanting to talk about for some time now. I've noticed that permanent cosmetics and other cosmetic procedures have become more the norm lately. Well with celebs like Kylie Jenner who debuts fuller lips what seems like every week, what else do you expect. That being said I wanted to share with you a new innovation to one of the most popular names in lip enhancers, Juvederm. They have just been approved for their formula called Volbella XC, for lip augmentation and correction of perioral rhytides (aka lines around the mouth.) The filler is created with hyaluronic acid, which has been called the "fountain of youth." It acts as a cushion and lubricant to fill in those lines and gives subtle volume to the lips. A Look Into Permanent Makeup

As all of you know, I love and am a huge advocate on expanding my education and furthering my skills in the beauty industry, which is solely built on the fact that I love to make others feel beautiful, inside and out. So without further revue I'd like to announce that I am officially certified in permanent cosmetics! I will be finishing my apprenticeship this week. Then off to take my test to get licensed my the American Association of Micropigmentation. This has been a long time goal of mine and I'm so glad I now get to offer this to wonderful clients. These were all different eyebrows on different woman. They barely had hair. Some were done with a shading technique, then came back for hairlike strokes after words. 

This is still Healing:) but a huge part to remember, Heal, Peel, and fade. My mom literally just wears gloss. Your color then disappears and comes back. Faded though.  

Here we  dropped her lower lip line to give her a more pout look:) also defined her lips more. Created more shape:)

We Are Moving!

Hi all! Just wanted to share some exciting news with all of you. This has been long awaited for me...Embellish U is moving to a new location! Now I will be able to better serve my existing clients and make room for new ones. I will be right in the heart of Point Pleasant Beach, not far off from where I am now. I will still be performing all the same services, and possibly a few more! That's all still a secret, for now (; I can not wait to reveal the exact location and final product with all of you. The Best Spring Makeup Trends For 2016

Spring has finally sprung here in New Jersey (at least for now) which means it's time to up your look! Everybody feels a little better when the temperatures start rising, and you start to put a little more effort in. The no-makeup makeup trend has been around for a while, but that reign is over. It's time for bright red lips, electric eye's, glitter and fluffy lashes. 

Classic look red lip and black liner. For a super easy look when you have zero time in the am!! Throw hair in a bun and add a POP OF RED COLOR TO LIPS!! you will look perfectly prepped:)) 

A red lip is always a classic, but on the runways for spring this year it's never been so evident. The color to keep in mind: Snow White apple red, with a satin finish, for a fresh low maintenance look. Or if you want a little more drama, go for a stay in place all night matte. There's tons of liquid to matte lipsticks out there nowadays. Opt for a simple black liner on the eyes and you're set.

Apply to inner corners to outside corners! Want to make it super intense!!! Dampen your brush and pat it on!! 

My favorite look I've been seeing is blue for the eyes. Yes I know you're all thinking, "how the hell do I wear that?" The answer, any way you want. Don't be afraid of a little color. You can do a smoky eye with a sparkly navy instead of your traditional browns and blacks. You could even take a cobalt blue liner and use it on your bottom lash line and smoke it out a bit with a neutral shadow. Any way you choose isn't wrong, have fun!

Now this is fun! Keep the eyes soft. You can use soft brown from Mac. Also do a blue line under your eyes mixed in with the soft brown... You are the next fashion statement:))

How To Harness and Invoke Lunar Energies This Full Moon

Hi all! I'm feeling especially inspired by this full moon we have in Virgo tonight so I wanted to share with you some rituals to use this energy to your fullest potential! Full moons are all about release and letting go. This is an incredibly potent window of opportunity to change, remove, release, shift whatever in your field is not in highest alignment with your being and you have the entire universe by your side, immensely supporting you and blessing you as you choose higher. Allow these energies to cleanse your being and fully serve your soul, and release what doesn't nourish your heart. 

Start off with setting your intention. Manifestation is so instant and holding on to attachments of less than will constantly block your field from greater blessings. Grab a notebook or journal and write down everything you want to get rid of. Light some candles and burn some sage if you have, that will aid in grounding yourself and take away any negative energy. When you're done with your list, take at least three deep breaths and move your consciousness into your heart. Place your full intent on release and burn your piece of paper and imagine those things being purged from your life. It is also good to take any crystals you have and let the moon light charge and cleanse them so they can serve you better. 

I encourage you to please review your life today and see what is no longer serving you and what is no longer in harmony or balance. This specifically has to do with all relationships both in your outer world: with partner, job, location and with self. Know how serious the universe is about you letting go what isn't in balance and what isn't nourishing your soul.

Attract some love into your life this Valentine's Day

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I wanted to share some ideas on manifesting love and the law of attraction. The secret of manifestation is that you do not create reality by what you think but by what you feel. Everything is a vibration and you attract those things that you are in vibrational resonance with. Your vibration is your feeling. The more you experience the feeling of having what you want, the more you will have it. You have the power to create anything your heart desires! If there is anything you want to create more of, focus upon it. Whatever you turn your attention to, you will create. What we give out, we get back. 

Imagine what your life would be like if your mind could always be focused on thoughts that were filled with joy, peace, love, abundance and feeling successful! Whenever you feel good, you are in vibrational harmony with your desires.

Along with just your thoughts, there are a few things you can practice to draw love into your life. Using select essential oils in your visualization and meditation practice create the ambience of magic. You could use rose essence, being that roses are the symbol of love. Jasmine, Ginger, Lavender, Ylang-Ylang, and Vanilla are great as well. Apply a bit of the oil under your nose, or on a tissue, and inhale while visualizing yourself as a beautiful, confident person, attracting the perfect love into your life. 

You could also create an altar in the relationship corner of your home. According to Feng Shui, the far right corner of your bedroom is considered the relationship area. Your altar can include fresh flowers, pink or red candles, romantic photographs, or statues that represent to you the image of love and family. Adding crystals is another great way to manifest your desires. Crystals are natural transmitters of energy. Rose quartz offers unconditional love and infinite peace and protection. It's the perfect choice for strengthening self love and forgiveness, and is also the crystal for manifesting and attracting true love. Malachite works to clear away painful heartache and make way for new love. Green Aventurine is known as the stone of love and luck. Carrying this stone with you will increase your confidence and luck at attracting new love in your life. 

I hope you can take these methods and incorporate them into your life to aid you in creating the life you want. Whether you're looking for romantic love or working on loving yourself. Always remember, if you believe it, you can receive it.
